Tesla's ambitious expansion plans have hit a roadblock as yet another state has put its foot down over the OEM's retail approach. Unlike most car manufacturers, Tesla insists on selling its cars directly to customers and refuses to operate through franchised dealers. The problem is that many US states require sales through a franchised dealer. Neither side is willing to budge.
