Cooperation key to maximising MaaS market potential

A decade ago, the concept of using a mobile phone to hitch a ride from a stranger would have been regarded as ludicrous. Today, Uber has more than 100 million users worldwide. For many years, automakers and suppliers have held a tight grip on the automotive supply chain and the products it produces based on the principle that if anyone needed to get anywhere, the likelihood was that they’d need to own a car to do so. But as ownership costs rise and other industries opt for subscription models, this status quo is under threat.
