Australia running at record volumes as affordability spurs uptake

Sales growth in Australia’s new light vehicle market slowed in April but the industry remains at record levels for the year to date, thanks to a combination of favourable forces. April's market rose 1.2% year-on-year to 81,656 units, according to VFACTS data compiled by the Federal Chamber Of Automotive Industries (FCAI). It follows an 8% rise the previous month to 105,054 units. Notably, the April 2015 total marks the third best April on record.
