BorgWarner hits reset on its forecasting methodology

BorgWarner is rethinking its forecasting methodology to project more realistic growth assumptions. By Freddie Holmes

BorgWarner appeared to be entering 2016 on the back foot as a result of foreign currency exchange (FX) headwinds that blew away underlying growth. The company is yet to release its Q4 2015 results, but prior quarter sales figures were down 7% year-on-year, due in part to unfavourable FX but also weak commercial vehicle business.
