‘Better mood’ boosts EU sales in June

Sales levels across the EU are nearing pre-recession levels, writes Megan Lampinen

The European passenger car market continues to power ahead, so far undaunted by political uncertainty and Brexit. Data from the European Automobile Manufacturers Association (ACEA) put the June sales total across the European Union (EU) at 1,459,508 units, a rise of 6.9% year-on-year (YoY) and not far off pre-recession levels. At the mid-way point in the calendar year, volumes remain up 9.4% at 7,842,965 units.
