While both US and European suppliers have reported a positive outlook on the automotive industry in 2014, continued momentum into 2015 is posing the challenge of generating a workforce to meet the surge in production levels.
The UK is not exempt from this difficulty, and has the lowest proportion of female engineering professionals of anywhere in Europe, something Leader of the Labour party, Ed Miliband, says is a matter of “national embarrassment”.
