Audi needs to build a technology carrier, says the OEM’s head of Technical Development

Lately, Audi has been accused of failing to live up to its Vorsprung Durch Technik (progress through technology) mantra. It is not an entirely fair accusation; witness the electricity-to-gas project in Germany to power the A3 g-tron, the impending A3 e-tron plug-in hybrid, the developments in autonomous driving and laser lighting technology and the strenuous efforts to hack weight out of new cars.
