Audi leads V2I charge with traffic light feature

New traffic light technology from Audi is geared more at comfort than safety, but represents a solid step towards greater V2I developments. By Megan Lampinen

Select Audi models in the US will soon be able to communicate with traffic lights, promising smoother, less stressful commutes. The company has confirmed that it will offer a vehicle-to-infrastructure (V2I) technology that it calls 'Traffic light information' on certain 2017 Audi Q7, A4 and A4 allroad models starting this autumn.
