Over the last six months, consumers have noticed the effects of falling prices at the fuel pumps, thanks to the steady decline in the cost of global oil. The price of crude has tumbled from over US$100 a barrel earlier this year to a five-year low of under US$70. While experts agree on the positive impact low fuel prices will have on retail trade, some describe a negative knock-on effect when it comes to emissions.
