The French environmental development agency Ademe is supporting seven projects concerning EV recharging technologies, contributing funding of €15.9m (US$20.7m) from its Future Vehicle programme, reports the French branch of the European EV trade association, Avere.
One project aims to develop and test a standard recharging protocol for corporate and public-sector fleet EVs, called Infini Drive. Another, Mov’eo Drive, aims to test and certify charging equipment in a standardised methodology, while yet another, called Telewatt, aims to develop a recharging system using power from public street lighting systems.
In detail, the projects are listed as follows:

The Ademe has adopted three parameters in judging the value of EVSE projects – standardisation and French influence on international protocols; the establishment of new business models; and the match between EVSE offers and consumers’ needs. The agency said each of the seven projects above met at least two of these key criteria.
