Nexteer has confirmed local media reports that it has scrapped plans to establish a new steering systems factory in Melbourne due to a sourcing policy change by Ford.
The steering systems supplier is reported by Manufacturers' Monthly to have secured government and commonwealth grants totalling AUS$63m (US$65.9m) to establish a facility
