AB Volvo has opened a new assembly line, at an investment of US$8m, at its manufacturing facility in Hagerstown, Maryland. The new line produces its I-Shift automated manual transmissions for heavy-duty trucks and buses. A ceremony held at the facility marked the start of production on 16 August.
