The Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) has announced it is launching a US$4m new electric truck buyer incentive programme. The scheme is intended to encourage fleet operators to invest in "zero-emission" urban delivery trucks. Such trucks, most notably Smith electric trucks, are already operational in Portland.
