The US start-up EnerG2 has opened a plant in Albany, Oregon, to produce synthetic carbon for ultracapacitor and battery electrodes. The Seattle-based EnerG2 won a US$21m federal stimulus grant in 2010 to help remodel a warehouse of one of its partners, Oregon Freeze Dry.
