BASF announced on 12 January that it had invested US$50m to acquire an unconfirmed percentage of the equity in Sion Power, the developer of lithium-sulphur (Li-S) batteries, based in Tucson, Arizona.
This equity partnership expands upon an existing joint development agreement that BASF Future Business GmbH established with Sion
