Daimler's smart assembly plant in Northern France will start deliveries of the volume-produced, third-generation fortwo electric drive electric version of the ForTwo minicar in September 2012, three months later than the June launch first announced in mid-September, Daimler confirmed to Automotive News on 19 December.
