According to comments by Opel spokesperson Stefan Weinmann, as reported by Bloomberg, General Motors plans to retain ownership of Opel for at least ten years. Weinmann was confirming comments made previously by GM's vice president of global public policy, Robert Ferguson, to German newspaper Bild Zeitung.
