Toyota has announced plans to set up a new R&D company based in China. Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (China) Co Ltd (TMEC) will be based in the Changshu Southeast Economic Development Zone in Changshu, China. Operations will begin in the spring of 2011.
