The new passenger car market in Germany contracted by 20% in October 2010, down to 256,800 cars registered, compared with 321,120 units reported in October 2009.
Registrations were also down compared with September 2010 figures, when the country's automotive industry recorded sales of 260,000 cars, according to the German Association of
