General Motors will take the wraps off its 2016 Chevrolet Camaro on 16 May during an event at Detroit’s Belle Isle park. The current model has been the top selling performance car in the US for five years. It went on sale in August 2009 and this month should see the delivery of the 500,000th fifth-generation Camaro in the US. Notably, the car has been a big hit with conquest buyers, with 63% of its retail customer new to GM.
