Tougher US traffic safety laws are essential, says AAA

Six US organisations are calling for the next surface transportation reauthorisation bill to provide additional funding to states that pass tougher traffic safety laws

More than 35,000 people are killed needlessly each year in car crashes in the US. According to preliminary National safety Council (NSC) estimates, fatalities are 11% higher this year than they were during the same period in 2014.
