Sanand making inroads towards becoming an automotive hub

With vehicle manufacturers setting up shop in Sanand and surrounding regions, automotive component manufacturers have flocked to cater to these OEMs, resulting in significant investments rolling into the state

Sanand in the western Indian state of Gujarat has been successful in attracting investment from the automotive manufacturing segment. It all started with Tata Motors, when it shifted its manufacturing base for the low-cost Nano across the state from Singur, in the eastern Indian state of West Bengal, to Sanand, with Narendra Modi, then Chief Minister of Gujarat, attracting Tata Motors with incentives.
