Efforts at Volkswagen Truck & Bus to become a 'global champion' are stepping up a gear. Chief Executive Andreas Renschler and his team are working to turn VW Truck & Bus, which encompasses the MAN, Scania, Volkswagen Caminhões e Ônibus and RIO brands, into a leader in key  markets around the world. In this aim it has been capitalising on strategic partnerships in growth regions: Sinotruk in China, Navistar in North America, and now Hino Motors in Japan and Asia.
