Europe awaits all-electric SUV with open arms, says Jato Dynamics

The SUV segment is booming in Europe, and analysts believe that pure electric models could tick all the right boxes. Michael Nash investigates

A handful of OEMs are starting to show their hands in the all-electric SUV segment. Deliveries of Tesla’s Model X, for example, started in 2015, while Audi is set to launch an all-electric SUV to rival the X by 2018.

Felipe Munoz, Global Automotive Analyst, Jato Dynamics, thinks that an electric SUV would be ideal for the current European passenger vehicle market, but certain barriers could prove difficult to overcome.
