Diesel sales crash in India over emissions concerns and fuel pricing

There has been a strong shift towards gasoline vehicles in India over the last few years as concerns over vehicle emissions has led to a series of actions against diesel cars and SUVs from the National Green Tribunal (NGT) as well as the Supreme Court. The price gap between the two fuels has narrowed over the years, eroding the potential gains that customers were making by buying diesel vehicles.
