Fossil fuel-powered vehicles contribute between 15% and 25% of the pollutants believed to be responsible for climate change. Foregoing the debate over the reality of climate change, most would agree that promoting clean energy couldn’t hurt. Yet, here we are in 2018 with only a fraction of the 1.3 billion motor vehicles on the road electrified and the narrative unfolding has surprisingly little to do with consumer preference.
