China shakes off ‘crash-gate’ stigma

China's road safety record has plenty of room for improvement, and efforts are underway from a number of different corners. World Health Organisation data from 2015 shows that at least 200,000 people a year die in traffic accidents on the country's roads. Part of the problem lies in the sheer number of vehicles, but addressing the safety features offered and the crash resistance capability could go a long way in lowering that statistic.
