Research: The hybrid-electric light vehicles report (2nd edition)
Date published: Tuesday, December 08, 2009
Description
Although light vehicle markets in the developed regions have been depressed during the last year and a half, hybrid sales have begun to increase and are forecast to continue increasing at a rate that will substantially outperform the overall market.
In developing regions, hybrid sales have been minimal, largely because they have been too expensive for most consumers. However, new incentive schemes in China and the prospect of reduced tariffs in India could help to increase sales in those two enormous markets in the near future.
