Monday, May 21, 2007, AutomotiveWorld.com
Visteon has announced the appointment of Michael J Widgren as vice president, corporate controller and chief accounting officer with effect from 16 May.
Widgren takes over the role of chief accounting officer from William G Quigley III, who was also appointed as chief financial officer in March and carried out both roles since then.
In 2005, Widgren joined Visteon as assistant controller. Prior to joining Visteon, he served as chief accounting officer at Federal-Mogul.
Visteon offers climate, interior, electronic and lighting products for the automotive industry. The company has corporate offices in Van Buren Township, Michigan; Shanghai, China; and Kerpen, Germany and has around 45,000 employees. The supplier reported a net loss of US$153m (US$1.19 a share) for the first quarter of 2007, as restructuring charges and lower North American automotive production volume offset improved sales in Europe and Asia.
