China: Cooper announces new executive appointments

Cooper Tire & Rubber has named Andrew Weiwen Chen and Wei-Ming Tao as executives in its China operations.
The company has appointed Chen as the new deputy general manager of finance for Cooper Chengshan Tire and also as director of finance for Cooper China.
Chen will be responsible for business planning and analysis, accounting and reporting, budget preparation and treasury requirements. He will report to Chuck Taylor, Cooper Chengshan's general manager, and Jerry Long, chief financial officer for Cooper Asia.
Tao has been appointed as general manager of business planning and processes for Cooper Asia, which covers Cooper's entire enterprise in Asia - Cooper Chengshan, Cooper Trading Company and Cooper Kenda. In this position, Tao will report to Ron Shield, vice president and general manager, Asian operations, and will be based in Cooper's Shanghai office. She will be responsible for strategic planning, human resource planning and business processes and systems.
The company recently appointed Ron Shield as interim vice president and general manager for the company's Asian operations.
Findlay, Ohio-based Cooper Tire & Rubber designs, manufactures and markets passenger car, light truck, and medium truck tyres, tread rubber and related equipment for the retread industry. The company has 63 manufacturing, sales, distribution, technical and design facilities around the world.
