According to the Detroit Free Press, a tentative agreement for a new contract to cover UAW members working at General Motors' Lordstown plant has been reached, averting a possible strike.
Some 1,000 members of local 1714 based at the northeast Ohio facility are due to vote on the measure on 8 May, the newspaper reports.
Elsewhere in the state, GM is still negotiating with the UAW local in Mansfield, about 60 miles north of Columbus.
