The Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST) Undertaking, Mumbai's public transport service, will introduce 50 new compressed natural gas (CNG)-fuelled air-conditioned buses in its fleet by March 2008, national daily Indian Express reports.

Uttam Khobragade, general manager of BEST, said that from now on the agency will purchase only CNG buses as they were more economically feasible compared to diesel.
