US: Goodyear Tire & Rubber appoints new chief financial officer

Goodyear Tire & Rubber has appointed Mark Schmitz as its new chief financial officer and executive vice president, effective immediately.
Schmitz succeeds Richard Kramer. Kramer was appointed to the additional post of president of Goodyear's North American Tire (NAT) business unit in March 2007.
Prior to his new appointment, Schmitz most recently served as vice president and chief financial officer at Tyco International's Fire and Security Segment, where he worked since 2003. From 2001 to 2003, he served as vice president and chief financial officer for Plug Power.
