Yaroslavl Engine Plant was awarded with a commendation from the President of Russia Vladimir Putin. The presidential award was handed over by the Acting Governor of Yaroslavl region Dmitriy Mironov to the Director General of Yaroslavl Engine Plant Andrey Matyushin at the awarding ceremony event.

The President of Russia has praised the service of Avtodiesel employees in the development of the modern engine-building industry in Russia. Yaroslavl engines are used in more than 300 models of vehicles and special-purpose products manufactured by Russian and CIS companies. YMZ engines are installed in trucks, long-haul vehicles, mining dump trucks, buses, tractors and combine harvesters, construction and road machinery, as well as diesel-electric power plants.

Yaroslavl Engine Plant is a part of GAZ Group’s Powertrain Division. The company’s major investment project is the manufacture of medium in-line four- and six-cylinder diesel engines of the YMZ-530 family with a power output from 120 to 330 HP conforming to Euro-4 and Euro-5 emission standards with a potential upgrade to Euro 6. The YMZ-530 family engines are manufactured at one of the most sophisticated production sites in Europe. The production facilities are certificated for conformity to ISO/TS 16949. The level of automation of the YMZ-530 production facility reaches 90%. The engines outperform most of their foreign and Russian competing products with regards to power and torque while consuming less fuel. YMZ-530 engines are used in GAZ Group products: GAZon Next medium-duty trucks, Ural heavy-duty trucks, Vector Next buses and others. The YMZ-530 family includes a CNG engine version, whose production was launched by Vladimir Putin in November 2016.

Andrey Matyushin, the General Director of Yaroslavl Engine Plant Avtodiesel:

– The commendation from the President of Russia is a high and well-deserved award handed out to the whole team of Yaroslavl engine-builders for their highly professional and dedicated work. Just recently, on October 20, 2016, our plant celebrated the centenary since its founding. Yaroslavl Engine Plant makes a significant contribution to the development of the region and the national engine-building industry. The most current evidence of this is our project of manufacturing an advanced family of YMZ-530 engines that meet the high emission standards. This is yet another glorious page in the history of the company. In the future we are prepared to implement many new strategic projects. The company has unique production facilities, a team of highly qualified staff, over the years we have gained the confidence of our consumers and partners. I am sure that the new period of the company development will see continuation of its legendary traditions and will secure its future success.
