Chinese Premier Li Keqiang has recently visited Chile. Along with Chilean President Michelle Bachelet, Li attended the Economic & Trade Seminar Marking the 45th Anniversary of Establishment of Sino-Chilean Diplomatic Ties & the 7th Meeting of China-Chile Business Council in Santiago, capital of Chile. On behalf of outstanding Chinese auto brands, Chery attended the meeting at the invitation.

Chery is the largest Chinese auto brand in the Chilean passenger vehicle market. Since its entry into Chile in 2007, Chery has achieved cumulative sales of over 30,000 units. With the gradual increase in its car parc, Chery’s network construction in Chile has been perfected gradually. Currently Chery’s outlets which provide complete presales and after-sales services to Chilean consumers cover all key Chilean cities.

While achieving outstanding market results, Chery has been launching new-generation products. Last year, Chery launched a quality SUV–Tiggo 5 in Chile at the earliest possible time. Upon its launch, Tiggo 5 has been acclaimed by local consumers for its advantages in such aspects as design, performance and safety. Early this year, Tiggo 5 was nominated as the “Best SUV 2015” in Chile as the first Chinese SUV nominated. This year, Chery will launch new Tiggo 3 to further enhance its competitiveness in the Chilean SUV market.

As quality models such as Tiggo 5 have gradually been recognized in Chile, Chery’s local brand reputation has been growing. According to a report released by renowned Chilean research agency–GFK-Adimark, Chery has been comparable to European, Japanese and Korean brands in terms of product quality and performance.

Now Chery is providing more fine products and services to Chilean consumers according to local conditions in the direction of localization. It is believed that Chery will achieve greater success in Chile on the basis of constant deepening of China-Chile friendship and the intensification of economic and cultural exchanges between the two countries.
