OMRON Corporation (Headquarters: Kyoto, Japan; President & CEO: Yoshihito Yamada [TSE 6645]) announced today that it has received the 2016 Intellectual Property Association of Japan* (IPAJ) Distinguished Service in Industry Award. Established by the IPAJ in 2004, the award is presented each year to the member company with the most outstanding track record in dealing with IP. This year marks the 13th anniversary of this prestigious award.

True to its Mission “to improve lives and contribute to a better society,” which was established by its Founder Kazuma Tateisi in 1959, OMRON has created numerous innovations and pursued new challenges by making continued efforts to develop better social infrastructures.
