Olaf Schick has been appointed as the new Chief Compliance Officer at Daimler as of March 1, 2017 and thus will also head Group Compliance. He succeeds to Dr. Wolfgang Herb, who will retire on December 31, 2016 after more than 25 years in the company.

“In Olaf Schick, we have gained an accomplished lawyer who, with his expertise from the markets of Russia and China, brings valuable experience to help us meet the requirements placed on a modern and global compliance organization,” stated Renata Jungo Brüngger, Member of the Board of Management of Daimler AG for Integrity and Legal Affairs. “He will take over an effective and well-positioned organization, which Wolfgang Herb has successfully managed in recent years. We thank Wolfgang Herb wholeheartedly for his commitment and look forward to working with Olaf Schick.”

Olaf Schick is 44 years old and since 2015 has been Chief Financial Officer at Mercedes-Benz Russia. From 2010 until 2015, he was Head of Mergers & Acquisitions at Daimler Greater China. Schick joined the legal department at Daimler AG as a lawyer in 2004.
