Mike Bauer, founder and Managing Director, TheCarPage (www.thecarpage.com), has been confirmed as a moderator in the Connected Car stream at Automotive Megatrends USA 2015, which takes place on 17 March 2015.

At TheCarPage, Bauer provides insight into opportunities created by world business and technology trends impacting the automotive industry, then assists business leaders with capitalising on those opportunities. Current areas of focus include “connective technology” – which Bauer describes as the integration of software and hardware that connects driver and vehicle to each other, and to the world around them – and the evolving tensions and opportunities in the automotive marketplace created by the explosive growth of sophisticated mobile devices.

Bauer’s unique insights are the product of in-depth knowledge of world business and technology trends, developed over 30 years of hands-on automotive industry experience. He created TheCarPage to share his insights and expertise with business leaders who want to take advantage of the opportunities created by change.

Organised by Automotive World, Automotive Megatrends USA 2015 is a one-day, three stream conference focusing on Powertrain Innovation, the Connected Car, and Retail (R)evolution. The event will take place at The Henry hotel in Dearborn, Michigan.

Bauer will be moderating the second session of Stream 2: the Connected Car, which focuses on the technologies and trends that will have the most impact on the evolution of the connected car in North America. Topics will include OEM strategy, software and apps, network, device integration, safety and security, location-based services and standards.
