The Green IT classroom is a project aimed at providing pupils in underprivileged areas with access to IT through computers & internet connection.

This year, 25 Faurecia computers were donated to an elementary school in Chengdu, Sichuan province, China. Faurecia employees in China are a strategic aspect of the program, since 20 Faurecia volunteers routinely come to the classroom and teach children how to best use this equipment.

Since 2013, Faurecia had built 3 Green IT Classroom respectively in Shanghai, Suzhou, and Hubei Macheng.

Developed in partnership with Netspring & Maverlinn, 83 computers have been donated while more than 2 400 children have benefited from the program so far.

In addition to the Green IT Classroom project, an Eco-Art Class named Faurecia Art Classroom was also launched this year to foster children’s creativity and develop their environmental awareness.
