The purchase of an S 517 HDH represents the first Setra TopClass 500 for the “Reisen ohne Grenzen” bus company and at the same time the 1000th Omniplus service contract for a bus or coach with Euro VI powertrain. The Omniplus Premium service contract covers all services from repair planning to the fully inspected bus. This includes, among other things, scheduled maintenance and checks as specified by the manufacturer, wear and tear repairs to the entire vehicle, use of genuine Omniplus replacement parts and free 24-hour all-round emergency service.

For bus operator Werner Henke, Managing Director of “Reisen ohne Grenzen”, the service contract is valuable protection and the basis for financial calculation: “The offered package of services allows me to accurately calculate all fixed costs. Furthermore, I am on the safe side for the entire term if there’s an accident or breakdown“. The bond with Autohaus Robert Kunzmann GmbH & Co. KG in Stockstadt, his trusted service partner, also gives the resourceful reckoner a good feeling through and through because he can always rely on the support from trained bus and coach specialists: “Apart from the increased uptime of my Setra coach, it is important to me that my passengers are able to feel comfortable in a properly serviced touring coach – any time and anywhere“.

Luxurious S 517 HDH takes to the road for non-profit organisation

As a passionate bus operator, former pharmaceutical entrepreneur Werner Henke aids people with mental or physical handicaps and low-income fellow citizens. For this reason, the owner of the non-profit limited liability corporation “Reisen ohne Grenzen” added a new S 517 HDH with glass roof to his fleet. The Setra TopClass 500 coach has 44 seats and is equipped with a high-tech audio system and a Jura coffee-maker. The vehicle’s exterior is adorned with the skyline of company headquarters Aschaffenburg, and the vehicle is predominantly used for day excursions for people living in social institutions – at cost price. Furthermore, the ten volunteers of the company from Lower Franconia, which works hand in glove with German aid organisation Malteser Hilfsdienst, also offers multi-day trips to Santiago de Compostela or Rome.

Setra TopClass 500 wins award at international trade fair

The elegant and dynamic touring coaches in the Setra TopClass 500 range provide passengers with a travelling experience that combines luxury and functionality at the highest level. The exclusive top-of-the-range long-distance coaches bring aspects of design, intrinsic value and safety to the fore. The generation of touring coaches recently won an award at the international “Busworld” trade fair in the Belgian city of Kortrijk. The jury of experts from European Coach & Bus Week (ECW) honoured the S 516 HDH of the Setra TopClass 500 with this year’s “Grand Award Coach”. In addition, the committee also acknowledged the high environmental compatibility as well as the aesthetic design of the innovative Setra touring coaches by awarding the “Ecology Label” and “Styling & Design Label”.
