From November 9 to 20 Brazil Time, under the theme “New Generation is coming” Chery participated in the Sao Paulo International Automobile Trade Show, the largest auto showin Latin America. Deputy Executive General Manager Luis Curi, Deputy General Manager Lu Jiankang, Deputy Operation General Manger Luciano Resner and Product Director Liang Yugen of Chery Brazil attended the press conference along with over 200 mainstream media journalists from around the world, witnessing Chery’s new-generation models such as Arrizo 5 and Tiggo 2.

On Chery’s booth, dazzling light and shadow effects, blue tone and unique stage design showed the sense of technology of Chery brand, attracting flocks of visitors.

Curi delivered a speech and unveiled new models. He introduced Chery’s development strategy in Brazil, design concept and technical level, with emphasis on Chery’s international R&D team. The team brought together seasoned professionals, who have rich R&D experience, from renowned automakers such as Jaguar, Benz and BMW. He expressed his confidence in and support to Chery in such aspects as product power, technical level and talent system, arousing bursts of applause.

At the exhibition, Chery New QQ received Conpet trophy from Inmetro for its outstanding fuel economy. Early more than a year ago, New QQ was named one of the Most Economical Cars in Brazil; this April, New QQ was scored AA (the highest) in Conpet catalogue by Inmetro, meaning that the model has the lowest emission in the sub-compact category and been rated as one of the most efficient and economical cars in overall ranking of fuel consumption.

As a representative of Chery’s new-generation products, Arrizo 5 and Tiggo 2 attracted common consumers, as well as many technical engineers from renowned automakers. They repeatedly observed the details of Tiggo 2 and Arrizo 5, and carefully compared data, showing their great attention to Chery’s new-generation models.

Notably, Chery’s popular booth also attracted Marcos Pereira, Minister of Industry, Foreign Trade and Services of Brazil. He highly praised Tiggo 2 and expressed his ardent expectation. He was pleased to see such a good car in Brazil, expecting Chery to introduce more and better products to Brazil.

With broad market space, Brazil has always been a major strategic market of Chery. In 2010, Chery invested 400 million US dollars to establish Chery Brazil Industrial Park which was completed in August 2014. With an area of 4.19 million square meters, an annual output of 50,000 units in Phase 1 and a planned annual output of 150,000 units in Phase 2, the park was designed and constructed in accordance with advanced and latest international standards. The park is ranked top among those of Brazilian automakers in terms of area and production capacity. In the future, the park will rely on Chery vehicles and bring in relevant auto parts industries to boost Chery’s localization and enhance the comprehensive competitiveness of Chery’s products in Brazil.

Chery Brazil Plant is Chery’s largest solely-funded overseas plant. Establishing and perfecting the auto industry chain in Brazil will develop Chery’s capability of extending from Brazil to the rest of Central and South America, so as to enlarge its market share and influence in Central and South America.
