A lithium-ion test battery exploded at GM’s Warren, Michigan technical centre on 11 April. The Wall Street Journal reports that five facility employees were examined on-scene by emergency service personnel, with one transported to a local hospital. The explosion broke three of the building’s exterior windows and a door.
