Wheel bearings – out of sight, but not out of mind for future mobility

While diminutive in size and housed out of sight, the wheel bearing is a crucial element to any form of road vehicle. Aside from its obvious role in securing the wheel to the axle, a bearing also facilitates the smooth and reliable ride that drivers are familiar with today. With a push towards autonomous vehicles, the importance of ride comfort and usable life will become ever more important, and further rises in e-commerce will emphasise the need for durable long-haul trucking.
