Simulation tools have played an increasingly important role in numerous vehicle design processes, with many OEMs using them from an early stage. However, some OEMs continue to use other techniques to analyse vehicle design, such as wind tunnels and prototypes. Companies that specialise in creating simulation tools believe that further improvement of their technology, particularly when it comes to speed, size and cost, could cement its place in the automotive industry.
