Shared mobility represents early opportunity, says LiDAR specialist

Innoviz will start shipments of one of its LiDAR solutions in 2018, with initial adoptions potentially stemming from the car-sharing market. By Michael Nash

Development in the area of autonomous driving technology is happening rapidly, and several companies have recently showcased their latest efforts. Renault, for example, selected journalists to experience a ride in its Symbioz concept car on French highways – a fully electric car with Level 4 autonomous driving capability. These vehicles will need to use an array of sensors, including LiDAR.
