Musk on possible location for Tesla’s Gigafactory, China expansion

After continued speculation about the OEM’s US$5bn Gigafactory, Tesla finally announced a deal with Panasonic

Elon Musk does like to keep people waiting. After continued speculation about the OEM’s US$5bn Gigafactory, Tesla finally announced a deal with Panasonic, but only discussed the ‘possibility’ of a Reno, Nevada location for the build. The OEM announced another record sales month in its recent Q2 2014 results call, with a very positive outlook for the coming years. And although the Model S only went on sale in China a few months ago, Musk has big expansion plans for the region.
