Opel sale: GM’s headache becomes PSA’s helpmate

GM may have struggled to make the most of Opel but the loss-making division could prove an asset to PSA, writes Megan Lampinen

After nearly a century under General Motors ownership, Opel could soon find itself in new hands. This is not the first time that GM has considered offloading the operation, which has proven a financial drag for years, but it looks like talks this time round could very well come to fruition.
