Nissan trade union representatives in Barcelona have been informed that the plant’s future is at risk unless there is a significant improvement in productivity. The Barcelona plant is not competitive in terms of productivity, flexibility and salary costs, commented Teruo Takebe, managing director of Nissan Motor Iberica.
