Much promise for natural gas usage in alternative powertrains

Over the past few years, there has been a steady expansion in natural gas production in the US. Across all consumption sectors, usage of natural gas has been increasing, including in the automotive industry. Increasing emissions regulation is driving fleet operators to look elsewhere for fuel that will help to lower emissions and save them money. While natural gas is still an expensive alternative, it is looking increasingly appealing, and new pipelines and drilling techniques are making it even more competitive.
