Surviving in any market that is crowded with competitors can be a tall ask. The commercial vehicle (CV) telematics market is no different, with a long list of specialist suppliers that offer bespoke solutions competing for a contract with OEMs – many of which have designed their own telematics systems in-house.

To stand out from the crowd, some companies are identifying new ways that telematics can be used to provide more benefits for fleet operators and road users in general. One potential area of exploration is enhancing safety.
